This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at MCN London Motorcycle Show 2025 on Sunday the 16th of February, ExceL London, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL.
The TZ range of water-cooled race bikes was introduced in 1973 with the TZ250A and changed the face of GP racing for ever
The model range was gradually developed and improved over the years and production ceased in 1982 with the TZ250J
The TZ250A was Yamaha's first example of an 'over the counter' production racer
This restored example is presented in very original condition
Forming part of a large private Collection of Yamaha race bikes
Finished in the iconic Yamaha racing colours or white and red
Engine has no numbers stamped on the crankcase, so presumably a replacement case
Displayed for the last few years so will require recommissioning before use
