Delivered new to the US in 911S coupé guise, this stunning example offered here has been extensively restored and converted to Resto-mod specification. Imported into the UK in 2016, the restoration was later undertaken and completed in 2023. The 911 was intrusted to Stuttgart Classica for a rotisserie restoration who stripped the car to bare metal and completed body modifications, and Riviera Autobody reworked the rear wheelarches and carried out the panel fit and full respray. Interior trim specialists 13 Stitches completely retrimmed the interior, including dashboard, seats, carpet, headlining and door cards. During the extensive works the 911 was fitted with a rebuilt 2. 4 litre 911 engine coupled to a Type 901 gearbox, covering little mileage since. The original wiring loom was upgraded with an updated fuse box. Torsion bars were removed and new independent rear suspension fitted. As such the 911 presents in excellent condition throughout, the paintwork is superb with no blemishes to note, and the interior is unmarked and fresh. The engine bay is also in excellent, very clean order, as too is the underside of the car. This fantastic example has been treated to exceptional attention to detail with upgrades such as a reworked oil side filler and the functional fuel filler to the bonnet. Also fitted are modern Resto-mod style ‘Bosch’ headlights costing circa £3, 000 alone, along with a ‘correct’ style orange Porsche bonnet crest.
The history file that accompanies the car includes many invoices relating to the comprehensive restoration, an A4 book with hundreds of photos of each step of the build from start to finish, many sundry bills, the current UK registration document and two magazines that the Porsche features in. With the build costing in excess of £150, 000 this is surely the best example on the market and looks absolutely stunning!
