One of only 644 Porsche 911 Turbos manufactured in 1976 for European sale, this example was invoiced to Gottfried Schultz Sportwagen in Düsseldorf on 3rd September 1976 as one of the very first examples built for model year 1977 (production for MY 1977 began in September 1976). The accompanying Porsche build sheet records that the car was originally finished in silver metallic with a black leather interior featuring perforated leather seat inserts and blue carpets. A Blaupunkt Bamburg stereo, air conditioning, and an electric sunroof are the only options listed.
This car was the subject of a complete restoration some years ago, which included a full engine rebuild, while more recently the interior was completely refurbished and the brakes, wheels, tyres, shock absorbers, exhaust, fuel tank and fuel lines renewed. A marque expert's report dated June 2016 is on file. The Porsche was sold to our vendor in April 2017, since when it has seen relatively little use. The car comes with Dutch registration documents and the aforementioned Porsche certificate, with 151, 580 km on the odometer.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams|Cars website for all pertinent auction information.
