In 1932 Horch became part of the 'Auto Union' together with Audi, DKW, and Wanderer. The firm produced a multitude of models throughout the 1930s, all aimed at the prestige end of the market where Horch was the only serious domestic rival to Mercedes-Benz.
This rare German thoroughbred was bought as a restoration project in 1981 by our vendor from German architect Horst Petersen. The car then underwent extensive restoration for two years and was registered in 1983 following the restoration's completion. The Horch has remained in the same family's possession since then. With its restoration holding up nicely and presenting well, the car comes with an extensive history file including its original German Fahrzeugbrief.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams|Cars website for all pertinent auction information.
