This stunning Alfa Romeo 1900 C was originally delivered to the Netherlands and still retains its original Dutch registration document (Kentekenbewijs) recording the original colour as grey. Purchased by the vendor in 1991, the car was subsequently restored and modified for use in classic car rallies. For this purpose it was fitted with a roll cage; fire extinguisher; Halda Twinmaster; additional fog lights; and a roof-mounted searchlight. Two K&N air filters are mounted on twin Weber carburettors, which are fed by electric fuel pumps. (It should be noted that the engine number's suffix 'AR00204' denotes a 2. 0-litre engine from a 2000 Spider Touring.) The original painted Borrani wire wheels were kept as were the original front seats, now fitted with four-point Schroth seatbelts. An older FIVA identity card from 2008 (now expired) comes with the car together with the aforementioned Dutch registration documents and a Dutch expert's report dated August 2017 attesting to the car's generally well-kept condition.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams|Cars website for all pertinent auction information.
