A fabulous life story
Now then, it is not very often we come across a car like this, so here goes...
A UK supplied and registered Porsche 911 Carrera Targa Super Sport finished in probably the only colour to have, Guards Red with linen leather with red piping and a red steering wheel. A stunning combination, especially for this car!
The story, as the vendor has informed us, is quite charming. It was bought new in the UK by its first owner in his company name, and then at some point was changed into his personal name. Later put into storage for many years but stored very well. Our vendor acquired the Porsche in 2014 and sent it for recommissioning at great expense. However, the people who carried out the work remarked that even after its storage it was one of the best condition cars they had come across - and it shows when you look at the car today. The vendor believes that most of the paintwork is original, it well may be, though we are sure that it may have had some paint in its time and it is entitled to, but only a little We will let you make your mind up on that one. The vendor has also gone to the trouble of having the targa top refurbished as well, which adds to the stunning appearance of this Porsche, especially when it is sat on a beautiful set of Fuchs alloys and has the whale tail spoiler. Simply stunning in every way!
The paperwork is quite impressive with a host of invoices from the early days and then from the time of ownership of the vendor detailing the recommissioning work, along with various other paperwork. There is a bit of information from Porsche and it even has an owner’s manual and service book containing 11 service stamps and 6 brake fluid services. This is backed up by a collection of older MOTs, which sit very nicely with the fresh MOT it has just passed with no advisories. Again, very impressive and surely must show how good this Porsche is.
There is also a specification sheet which details the factory specification as follows:
Recoil bumpers, limited slip differential, shortened gear lever, rear seat belts, rear wiper, electric front seats (both), high fidelity package (8 speaker system with amp), super sport equipment, amp system, top tinted windscreen and luggage department trimmed in black velour carpet.
A great list of factory options, and it even has a set of spare keys.
Just to finish on this wonderful 911, it also worth noting that it still has the original factory stickers under the bonnet adding to its originally, has matching numbers, is UK supplied, has low ownership, is in unmolested condition, is as nice underneath as it is on top and was driven to us by the vendor. This is a very reluctant sale and is only on the market due to a loss of storage, otherwise this Porsche would never be available to buy at any price.
