From its original inception by H. F. S Morgan in 1911, the Morgan 3-Wheeler became an icon of the British motoring scene and was the mainstay of early production at the Malvern Link based firm. Early cars used proven motorcycle engines such as Anzani, J. A. P and Matchless resulting in spirited driving and ensuring the foundations of success for Morgan.
In 2011, the Morgan Motor Company launched an all-new 3-Wheeler at the Geneva Motor Show to a rapturous applause. Designed by Aero 8 innovator, Matt Humphries, the all-aluminium body echoed that of its predecessors and was fitted with a front-mounted S&S 1979cc V-Twin engine mated to a five-speed Mazda gearbox, making the dimunitive two-seater capable of propelling the car to 60mph in 6 seconds and finally topping out at an eye-watering 115mph.
