The R1100RS is a sports touring motorcycle produced by BMW Motorad between 1993 and 2001 and was the first in BMW's stable to use the new generation R259 flat-twin boxer engine which featured air-cooled cylinders but oil-cooled cylinder heads
It used a frameless design, the engine being a stressed member with the 'TeleLever' front suspension mounted directly to the front of the engine with a rear subframe for the rider and low maintenance paralever shaft rear-drive system
This example is well equipped with lockable and removable side panniers, heated grips, adjustable screen and ABS brakes
Confirmed running, it remains in good overall original condition having covered 48, 419 miles
The bike's first owner was radio broadcasting legend Johnnie Walker MBE with correspondence from the presenter included in the history file
