Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show 2025 on Saturday the 22nd of March - Sunday the 23rd of March, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
William Morris' sturdy and affordable Cowley and Oxford models helped change British motoring from an elitist pastime to transport for the masses and therefore hold an important place in automotive history
In September 1926, Morris unveiled the Bullnose's successor, the 'Flatnose', which drew heavily on the design of its much-loved 'Bullnose' predecessor
Built on a light yet sturdy leaf-sprung ladder chassis and powered by a choice of two torquey four-cylinder side-valve engines (11. 9/ 13. 9HP) mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox
First registered in 1928, the vehicle appears to have had a restoration at some point in its life
Now finished in cream over black with a Bordeaux red leather interior and matching door cards and carpets, it sits on cream painted artillery wheels
We are sure that this charismatic old Oxford will provide miles of entertaining motoring whilst the new owner writes the next chapter of its life
