Paul Smart put the Ducati 750SS on the worlds map with his famous victory at Imola in 1972, beating the likes of the works Triumphs of Tait, Cooper and Pickrell and the MV Agusta of Agostini
The bike was very much like the road-going Ducati 750 Sport and even retained a lot of the original road bike features
Just over 400 of the original "green framed" bikes were produced with values rocketing over the years prompting numerous recreations
This replica has been built to a very high standard and utilises a genuine 750 Sport 'narrow frame' along with an engine that has had an "SS" conversion with 'Desmo' heads
Built in the 1980s to its current condition including correct front forks with the Ducati casting, correct left and right front twin brake discs, an alloy tank and correct wider rear alloy rim
Presented in running order, it's been stored correctly for the last few months so may need some light recommissioning before use
UK bike from new and showing only five previous owners
Great opportunity to own a "green frame" at a fraction on the cost of a genuine example
UK-registered on a current V5C
