1980 MERCEDES BENZ 230 AUTO - JUST 68K MILES, BEAUTIFUL! For Sale

HERE at Martin Howey Classics (Est 26 years), we are pleased to offer for sale a 1980 Mercedes Benz 230 auto (petrol) with just 68, 000 miles on the clock and, until I purchased her recently and put her into my name, just three former keepers from new.

An excellent example - and of course we all know the quality and reliability of the W123 series - and with just 68k miles covered in 44 years, this delightful old girl is barely run in!

White (obviously) and with unmarked blue interior, she is a delight. Idles and drives superbly. On the key and ready to go. Super body, great arches, sills etc. Wings too and doors. In fact the door bottoms are amazing. And I don't just mean the bottom few inches of the actual door skins (which are excellent in any case), I mean the door bottoms themselves. The actual underneath of all four doors that you can only see if you lie on the ground and look up at them. Make no mistake, this is a belter of a Mercedes W123.

She has power steering too which is great and drives superbly.

And here is a little fun fact for you too. The huge Mercedes ashtray in the dash has never been used (nor has the lighter that sits within it) and the ashtrays in each rear door are untouched and like new. No, before you ask, I don't have its history. But what I am offering here is superb quality, superb condition, mega low miles (must be correct looking at the interior, never mind the car itself), and a classic which is a joy to drive and look at. Perhaps if I had hit lucky and ben given an enormous history file, I would have thought it to be fair enough up there with those which are 12k-plus. Are they any better? Who is to say. This is how I run my business and, believing that after all these years I am an excellent finder and buyer, I prefer to pass on my expertise to the vehicle's next owner.

Before the eagle-eyed amongst you ask me, the "marks" on the front valance and just around the headlight on the driver's side are both road grime which I obviously missed when washing the old girl today. Saves you wondering what it is!

Put it another way. Find a BETTER one for this price and tell me. One thing will be for sure. I will buy it before you do!
