Montesa was formed in 1944 in Spain by Pere Permanyer and Francesc Xavier 'Paco' Bultó, designer Bultó then went on to form Bultaco motorcycles
The company was Spanish-owned until entering into a partnership with Honda in the early 1980s
The Cota 330 was similar in most respects to earlier models, with a monocoque tank-seat, air-cooled two-stroke engine with 6-speed gearbox, double-cradle frame, drum brakes and conventional suspension front and rear
Visual differences included red Telesco rear shocks and red mudguards and it had a new frame which sported an alloy swinging arm
This bike has been beautifully restored after a full strip down including engine
Many parts have been shot-blasted and powder-coated during the rebuild, engine internals inspected and rebuilt with a new clutch
New shock absorbers from InMotion, repainted fuel tank by Body Motor Works and new Competition Silencer
UK-registered with a current V5C
This very attractive 1980s classic trials bike is road legal and supplied with a current V5C
