At the heart of the conversion offered by John Cooper Garages was a new cylinder head that offered performance straight out of a race engine tuners handbook. This was developed in conjunction with Coopers old friend Jan Oder and Janspeed Engineering, boasting larger inlet and exhaust valves for greater fuel flow capability and new aluminium bronze vale seats that offered reliability and durability at a time when greener fuels were emerging.
