Description
Just arrived at The Garage!
One of the most correct and genuine MGBs we’ve had for some while
1970 MGB Roadster (previously supplied by us)
At its introduction in 1962, the MGB was eagerly received on both sides of the Atlantic. By the time production ceased in 1980, well over half a million examples had been built.
Today, the MGB remains as popular as ever, benefitting from excellent spare parts availability and the support of both the MG Car Club and MG Owners’ Club.
According to the copy of the Heritage Certificate supplied, this car was built in late January 1970 and despatched to MG dealers J Bryant of Birmingham on 3rd February.
The specification included folding hood (the ‘pack away’ hood was still the standard offering at this period) Radial tyres and overdrive.
During the 1990s the car underwent major restoration work which included repainting in the correct MG colour of Flame Red. ‘Minilite’ type wheels were also added along with a double duck hood.
Recent work has included replacement of the alternator, new rear main bearing seal, replacement clutch and brake overhaul.
The MG has been used sparingly over the years and the current recorded mileage which stands at approximately 43, 500 is believed to be correct.
Presented in very smart order and with a current MOT certificate, this MG is ready for the coming Spring and Summer.
