This 1968 Bentley T Series, Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupé, is an incredibly special car and is believed to be one of only 41 cars produced. The original bill of sale, which is on file, shows that it was ordered new from Huet Motors in Dublin (Ireland) at a cost of £11, 317 Irish Pounds to include rear "IRL" letters in chrome . It remained with that owner until 2002 until it was purchased by its current owner, who soon after embarked on a €100, 000 restoration. The car remains in exceptional condition, has extensive history including the original full book pack and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
The exterior of this Drophead Coupe is finished in a stunning light blue metallic. The bodywork, crafted by Mulliner Park Ward, is beautifully elegant, enhanced by the early fully chromed bumpers that give it a more classic appearance. All exterior details, including the chrome trim, are in near-perfect condition. The body lines and panel gaps are consistent and well-aligned. The soft top was replaced during restoration and is electrically operated.
The interior of this Bentley, as you would expect, is a very special place to be. Navy leather covers the seats and door cards and it is all original, still in excellent condition and the seats are electrically adjustable. As with the exterior, the finer details of the interior are in remarkable condition. The windows and soft top are electrically operated and function flawlessly. The wood trim throughout the interior is also in great shape. With the soft top up, the interior is just quiet and comfortable, providing a coupe-like experience thanks to the muti-layer soft top construction, which is nearly 10 cm thick and features a premium wool headliner.
Bentleys of this era prided themselves on mechanical refinement that no other manufacturer could match. The car is powered by a 6. 2-litre V8 engine that must be one of the smoothest, well balanced and quiet engines produced.
