Description
First registered in February 1992 on a Q-prefix, this Marcos GT is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking a stylish and unique restoration project.
Starting with the positives, this is a great-looking example of the classic GT shape. Black paintwork, whilst not in good condition, is seldom seen on a Marcos but suits the shape well. Retro 5-spoke alloys, bubble arches, a deep chin-spoiler and a rear wing further enhance the car’s sporting credentials.
On the inside, a mixture of black and tan leather provide a relatively luxurious space to sit in, the addition of a wood dashboard adding to the ‘classic’ sportscar feel.
From a mechanical point of view, this GT will require significant re-commissioning before it is back on the road. Our full evaluation of the car’s condition is available on request, but the most significant areas of concern are listed below:
– Structural corrosion in multiple chassis tubes
– Unknown engine condition
– Suspension and braking systems require complete refurbishment
Whilst the amount of work required is extensive, we believe that the price point gives the next owner a chance to correct many of this Marcos’ issues at a reasonable total cost.
