Last of the MG T-series line, the TF was introduced in October 1953. Although mechanically near identical to its TD predecessor, the provision of a raked radiator, revised wing line and faired-in headlamps lent it an altogether sleeker and sportier air. Powered by a revised version of the well-proven, four-cylinder XPAG engine but this time using larger valves, a higher compression ratio and twin SU 1. 5in carburettors, the new model was reputedly capable of over 80mph. Equipped with both rack-and-pinion steering and independent coil-and-wishbone front suspension, it helped maintain the marque's 'Safety Fast' reputation. Around 6, 200 TF1250s were made, followed by 3, 400 1500s.

Manufactured on the 15th of December 1953, the TF 1250 offered was supplied new to the United States of America. Finished in the attractive colour scheme of Dark Green paintwork with a Tan interior upholstery, the TF is accompanied by full weather equipment including sidescreens, and rides on chrome wire wheels. Understood to be a matching chassis and engine numbers example, it was purchased into the vendor's significant private collection in c. 2015 while a resident of Florida, having been in long-term previous ownership. Remaining in Vero Beach, Florida for the subsequent five years, the TF attended several prestigious events while stateside, these events included several attendances at the Arthritis Foundation Concours d'Elegance. Completing two long-distance tours, the longest being the Classic Motorsport Orange Blossom Tour (some 1, 200 miles). Repatriated to the United Kingdom to join the majority of the collection, the TF landed on British shores in May 2020 and has since been UK-registered. Benefitting from a full service since arriving, the MG has also benefitted from a new water pump and battery. Started regularly as part of the upkeep of the collection and used occasionally, the TF is now ready for its next owner. Supplied with the import documentation and current V5C document.
