Just Arrived, Awaiting Preparation and Photography :
This exceptional MGB Roadster is an absolute thrill to drive and a prime example of thoughtful upgrades and meticulous care. It offers a driving experience that truly comes alive on the open road.
Previously owned by a dedicated MG enthusiast and MG Owners' Club member, this car has undergone extensive investment to enhance both its performance and overall driving dynamics. Under the bonnet, it features a 1950cc lightened and balanced Oselli Stage 2 engine with HIF carburettors, installed in 2009. Since then, it has covered just over 10, 000 miles. Between 2009 and 2010, approximately £10, 000 was spent on numerous improvements, including the Oselli engine, a high-torque starter, alternator, new hood, walnut dash, door panels, and a full respray of an already straight and solid body.
In 2016, the car changed hands, and the new owner invested a further £8, 000 in upgrades and maintenance, ensuring this MGB remains in superb condition. Key enhancements include:
Gaz adjustable shocks all around for improved handling.
New parabolic rear springs and rear Panhard rod for better ride quality.
Upgraded front anti-roll bar and drop link kit for enhanced stability.
Complete braking upgrades, including new calipers, servo, discs, and pads for confident stopping power.
Further notable features include:
‘123’ electronic ignition for improved ignition timing and reliability.
12-volt battery conversion for modern power efficiency.
Wire wheel conversion, complete with new stub axles and wheel bearings for added durability.
Stainless-steel exhaust system, including an S/ S extractor manifold, which provides a fantastic exhaust note.
Mechanically, the car is in superb condition, with a smooth gearbox and fully operational overdrive, making it perfect for long-distance touring. Aged beautifully in Damask Red, the MGB boasts bright chrome, wire wheels, and a clean, tidy engine bay. Structurally, it remains incredibly solid with an excellent underside and straight panels.
This MGB has been carefully stored each winter with a CTEK charger and enjoys seasonal use from spring through autumn, offering reliable and enjoyable classic motoring. With its impressive specification, replicating this car would be an expensive endeavor today. This is the perfect choice for regular use, touring, or anyone who appreciates classic motoring at its finest.
This car will be freshly serviced and MOTd ahead of sale.
