Here we offer for sale our latest rare Ducati. The 916 Senna Mk3. We have recently sold a very similar example and are lucky enough have another fresh Senna arrive with us this week. Our UK, 1998 example has been with its latest owner since 2008 and has covered just 3, 045 miles from new and is supplied with a paddock stand, cover and book pack containing the owners manual service book, spare key and various service receipts and old MOT's. The bike features a numbered headstock and is number #135 of the limited production run. The bike will receive a full recommissioning service including all fluids and belts as well as a fresh MOT prior to sale.
Three versions of the Senna were produced, the Mk1 in 1995, the Mk2 in 1997 and this the Mk3 in 1998, in all three editions 300 were produced in each, with the Senna first presented at the Bologna Motor Show in December 1994, the 916 Senna was a special edition to commemorate Formula 1 World Champion, Ayrton Senna, an avid Ducati enthusiast who endorsed its release shortly before his death in May 1994. At the time, the project was facilitated by the fact that Claudio Castiglioni, Ducati's owner, was a personal friend of Senna's. In total, between 1995, 1998 and 2001, Ducati released three "Senna" editions and, in every instance, net proceeds were donated to the Instituto Ayrton Senna charity.
