The Porsche 944 arrived in 1982 and followed the 924 front engine variant. Much is written about these cars and if you require detailed background information then there are many sources of this.
In 1989 the S2 evolution featured 3 litres and a new gearbox giving 208bhp. Suffice to say these cars have a reputation for being excellent all around sports cars with the reliability and performance you’d expect from Porsche. On that basis many were made and most have stratospheric mileages recorded.
However, this car is almost unique in that it has been cosseted and cherished throughout 25 years in the dutiful custodianship of just 2 owners who have used the car sparingly to the point we have a warranted 33, 000 miles recorded.
Sometimes low mileage cars haven’t been well serviced but just stored away. Not this car. The most recent owner took delivery of the fully dealer stamped history Porsche from the first owner a Mrs Pamela Senior Stern 7 years after first registered. The car retained its personal number plate ‘PAM’ and still does. Every service by either Dick Lovett Porsche of Swindon or Porsche Centre Bristol. What more can we say. The most comprehensive and diligent service attention on any car I have ever had the pleasure to market. The key is that the car was used every year sparingly and maintained without consideration of cost. The car just had to be ‘right’
It will therefore come as no surprise that she sailed through an MOT and drives without fault. As near to a ‘new’ car as we have ever seen. This car is a true collector’s car. A car for the Porsche collector who has to have the best.
