A Jersey specialist began servicing the XJS in 2001 and service stamps are present at 14008, 19505, 23941 and 28663 miles. In 2007 the XJS came into the mainland UK and a Mercedes Benz specialist serviced the car at 29369, re-gassed the air-conditioning system and MOT tested the Jaguar. It was then maintained by Cov Cats for several years with services stamped at 34850, 39821, 42696 and 47637 miles. The XJS was garaged all year round, spent the winter months in hibernation. We have since sold the XJS to one our Huddersfield based customers who has covered 5000 faultless miles in the car. It was driven over to us from West Yorkshire and is just as we last saw it a couple of years back. Since last seeing the XJS its had a further service, new tyres and brake discs and pads.
L169 FFX is an outstanding example, its early sheltered Jersey life has ensured this car has never been exposed like so many to high early miles and winter UK roads. It has throughout its life been used sparingly, treated as the Sunday car and as result is an exceptionally original car that has no structural issues. Since arriving in the UK in 2007 it has been superbly maintained and never treated as a typical modern car, ensuring now that this modern classic is a very correct, special, original car. On the road the car drives as expected of a low mileage car, its super smooth, quiet, luxurious, powerful and will make a fabulous grand open tourer ideal for longer distance, ultra relaxed roof down touring. The XJS has a stunning original interior, optional rear seats, air-conditioning and working power hood.
