MGA MK1 1600 1961 LHD roadster USA import ongoing project car.
Imported back to the UK in 2012 where i purchased it from a specialist.
I have collated a restoration file of all work i have undertaken including pictures and invoices. The file also includes the previous owner and registration in the states and import doc.
The mileage on the clock reads 85, 565 approx however, i have no paperwork to back this up.
I am selling as i no longer have the time to work on the car and will neither have use for it once completed. I felt it would be better to sell to someone who wants a project with not much work left to do on it.
The list of work done is as follows,
Chassis shotblasted, repaired where required, epoxy primed, black primed and painted.
Body shell and wings have been shot blasted, coated with epoxy primer, repaired where necessary and body filler has been applied to begin reshaping.
All new coil and leaf suspension with new fittings, bushings and refurbished dampers.
Rear axle refurbished with new brake shoes and handbrake cabling.
New wheel bearings all round.
Fully refurbished front brake calipers with stainless steel pistons and coated with an anti corrosion coating - specialist refurbed.
Brand new fuel tank, internally sealed with POR-15, externally seam sealed, epoxy and black primed and painted gloss black.
Engine recently fully refurbished by a specialist with a 'Piper 270' cam-shaft fitted with brand new engine mounts.
Peter Burgess 'Eco-tune' unleaded cylinder head.
Refurbished gearbox & new clutch and thrust-bearing with a new gearbox mount.
New fly-wheel ring gear.
Maniflow LCB exhaust manifold.
Refurbished SU carburettors and inlet manifold.
Steering rack refurbed and fitted to car.
Painted seat frames.
The chassis is rolling and is easy to move around the workshop with one person.
Smiths heater box, front and rear bumpers, front valance, LHD dash, new chrome grille, handbrake, clocks and gauges, windscreen surround, front subframe and bumper mounts, convertible hood frame all come with the car.
Original parts bagged, tagged and boxed where possible.
Any serviceable items needing replacing has been replaced.
Surplus new parts have been bagged and tagged and will also come with the car.
This is an ongoing project so progress may have been made since writing this advert.

The vehicle will only be released once all funds have been counted & cleared. Dry state car from Colorado, USA and first registered in California, USA. Owner and owners address when the car was in the states.
The car was imported back to the UK in 2012 and i have owned it since.
