Kawasaki looked about to dominate the new 750cc GP category with their powerful, but fragile, 3-cylinder KR750, Yamaha needed an answer
They came up with the TZ700, fitted with a 4-cylinder, water-cooled, 2-stroke engine, developing 90bhp and weighing in at 157kg
Instantly quick, they soon dominated the 750cc class
This matching numbers example has been restored to a good standard
