Having been subject to an extensive restoration. This bus has been stripped down and many essential panels replaced. The bus was then repainted in the VW Chinchilla Grey. The paintwork is very stylish, indicative of the era yet also in vogue today.
1776cc engine running dual Weber ICT carburettors. Well serviced and cared for by the previous owner. Rolling road tuned and dyno read out provided. New fuel tank and all new fuel lines December 2024. Engine bay stripped and meticulously detailed at the same time. Adjustable front beam, IRS gearbox, Butty’s Bits throttle linkage, many other mechanical upgrades.
Almost £5, 000 spent at Kens Customs auto trimmers for full upholstery throughout. Their interior work is some of the best in the business and they are renowned amongst VW enthusiasts for their very high standard of work. Grey vinyl with lovely salt and pepper style soft fabric is comfortable to sit on and provides the ideal base for the rock n’ roll bed. Unlike vinyl it will not be sticky to the touch in the summer heat. Brand new headliner. Sound deadening has been added also to reduce noise and retain warmth.
Pop top roof restored with new heavy-duty canvas. There are twin fold out bunk hammocks up top also suitable for children. Madmatz basket weave carpet set including front kick panels.
Brand new interior built by us at UK Sports Cars and installed December 2024. We have specialised in bespoke interiors specifically for classic VW Camper Vans for many years. • Bespoke cabinet to sit behind drivers bulkhead with curved corners and finished in light grey Formica laminate. Resplendent with the rest of the grey theme and upholstery.
• Woodgrain black worktop and table to match. Table built to size to store behind custom welded bed frame neatly when not in use.
• CAN SRL sink / double gas burner unit, a game changing product build to the exact dimensions required to make this interior work so well.
• Full width Rusty Lee rock n roll bed. Undoubtably the best camper van bed ever built and utilised exclusively in all of our buses. It lifts, it pulls down and it works without fail every time. The full width bed is far superior to the ¾, making the most of the space available for a comfortable nights sleep. This has to be prioritised.
• Bed skirting board to match cabinet curved to sit flush with bed frame.
• Cabinet and skirting board both built with raised recessed plinths to allow for RGBW Led lighting throughout, that will illuminate the interior in any colour of your choice. This is highly functional lighting but also ideal to create a lovely ambience for any occasion.
• Waeco CRX50 Fridge with flush mount surround frame, sitting neatly into the cabinet. Another superb product that works off 12v leisure power and using an MPS35 inverter will run indefinitely when connected to 240v mains hookup.
• Flip down buddy seat behind passenger bulk head to match bed frame so that you can sit opposite each other around the table whilst also providing the ability to free up space.
