Description
The ever-popular Austin Seven has become the pinnacle of endearing small pre-war cars, and we are delighted to offer this truly amazing RF Fabric Saloon. First registered in March 1928, this particular fabric bodied Austin is a wonderful 'older restoration' that is still in absolutely stunning condition.
We sold this wonderful piece of motoring history to its last owner back in 2018 and we are delighted to once again have it back. Prior to 2018 and first coming to us, CT 8859 had been in the previous owners' hands since 1992 and had been well used, whilst being meticulously maintained. Not only was this long term owner a genuine enthusiast of the marque, but also owned two others, and a total of eight Austin 7's over the years. He and his wife toured much of the UK on many VSCC and LC&ES rallies with complete reliability, the car even ventured to Northern France on several occasions.
The car was completely restored by a former owner, to include a Heath body, Barton trim, Austineers mechanicals and a Leek engine. CT 8859 starts on the button, and drives impeccably well. The body and interior are in superb condition, and it is clear that when it was restored it was carried out to the highest of standards.
A fabulous little car that will be a great ‘weekend fun' car that is also capable of touring.
