Description
History of the Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Station Wagon
2002 was an exciting year for fans of the sporty middle class. With the 156 GTA Stationwagon, Alfa Romeo presented a perfect fusion of Italian elegance and uncompromising performance. The 156 GTA was far more than just a station wagon - it was a statement of driving pleasure and style.
Drawn by Walter de Silva, the design of the 156 GTA combined classic Italian lines with an aggressive touch. Wider fenders, discreet spoilers and a striking radiator grille with the legendary Alfa triangle signaled the performance of this car even when stationary. But the real treasure was under the hood: a free-revving 3. 2-liter V6 engine, known as the “Busso”, which gave goosebumps with its incomparable sound and 250 hp. This engine, named after its creator Giuseppe Busso, was considered one of the best V6 engines of its time - silky in its power delivery and raw in its sound. The chassis of the 156 GTA was consistently trimmed for dynamics. Lowered, with taut suspension and precise steering, the GTA provided a unique driving experience. The standard 17-inch wheels and a powerful braking system ensured that even cornering on narrow mountain passes was a pleasure.
Only 1, 678 vehicles of the Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Stationwagon were built.
Vita of the Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Station Wagon offered here
This Alfa Romeo GTA Stationwagon offered here was produced in 2005 and only registered as a new car in Switzerland for the first time on January 11, 2007. A copy of the sales invoice is available, as well as copies of several service invoices from Switzerland. In Switzerland, the GTA had a minor accident when, according to the previous Swiss owner, a traffic light was in the way. However, this accident damage was repaired professionally. In 2017, this GTA came to Germany and the third and last previous owner gave it a new timing belt, overhauled the front axle and new tires in 2020. Due to time constraints, he is parting with his GTA, as he has only driven around 3, 000 km over the years. We now have the opportunity to offer this rare vehicle on consignment. This Alfa Romeo impresses with its very good condition, the interior is of very high quality, the paintwork is consistent, as are the gaps. The technology has always been maintained.
