This MGA 1600 MKII Roadster is without a doubt in sublime and perfect condition. Rarely have we had such a unique classic in our collection. This car was completely body-off restored years ago and is still in astonishing new condition. The stylish MGA is already a beautiful appearance in itself, but that certainly applies to this Old English White MKII with perfectly matching red leather interior. The car still has its original (factory) color combination. Because it is a (rare) MKII version, this car is also equipped with the powerful 1622 cc engine with 90 hp. Of the more than 100, 000 MGAs produced, just over 8, 000 MKII roadsters were produced. This ensures that the MKII version has become a rarer model today.
This beautiful classic roadster is in fully restored top condition. There are still several photos available, showing how this MGA 1600 MKII, produced in 1962, was professionally restored and the engine block and gearbox were also overhauled. After this restoration, the car was maintained with great love and the result is that the car is still in sublime condition. The beautiful color Old English White still has a deep shine and the bodywork paint is in perfect condition. The various chrome and trim parts are in shiny new condition and are also in excellent condition. This also applies to the various rubber parts and seals. The body parts fit together very well and the doors open and close firmly and solidly. The convertible top is in completely new condition and this also applies to the mountable side screens. The car is also equipped with a tonneau, which is of course also in very good condition. The stylish spoke rims with chrome wing nuts give the car extra allure and style. The spotlights at the front are not only very useful for driving in the dark, but also give the car a sporty accent.
The beautiful red leather interior forms a perfect combination with the stylish body color. During the restoration, the interior was completely renewed and is still in unique new condition. We are really impressed by this breathtaking interior. All chrome and trim parts are in unique new condition and the red leather seats are particularly comfortable. The wooden steering wheel and gear knob give this beautiful MGA MKII extra class. There is also a red leather cover (with storage compartments) mounted behind the seats. The dashboard is also in unique new condition and all instruments work properly.
As this car looks, so this car drives, namely perfectly. This MGA MKII is without a doubt a wonderfully driving classic roadster. This is not only because the factory has made various improvements from the first series, but also because of the professional restoration and overhaul of this car. The powerful 4-cylinder engine has sufficient power to drive both sporty and comfortable. The steering is exceptionally smooth and the brakes also feel exceptionally solid and sturdy. This is of course partly due to the disc brakes at the front. The shifting is also very smooth and accurate. The engine is equipped with an extra oil cooler for reliable operational reliability. We dare to say that this is without a doubt one of the most pleasantly driving MGAs that we have ever had in our collection.
