EXTERIOR
Surely the perfect spec in black over black with mag ride and that all-important third pedal, this 2009 V8 coupe looks fantastic against our studio backdrop. The deep pearlescent paintwork presents in overall excellent condition but in line with the car’s 67k miles there is a light dusting of chips and one or two discreetly touched-in marks to note on close inspection. Having just been treated to a full refurb while in the care of Guildford Audi the 19-inch alloy wheels are absolutely first-rate, and better still they are shod in brand new Pirelli P Zero tyres all round. The front discs and pads have also just been replaced by Audi and so the car is more than ready to be driven and enjoyed.
INTERIOR
Very nicely spec’d with the Bang and Olufsen premium sound system, heated electric seats, parking sensors and gated manual ‘box, the interior of this one is a great place to be. The seats are trimmed in black fine Nappa leather and other than some expected wrinkling on the deep outer bolsters the upholstery is very well presented with no signs of heavy use. The flat-bottom steering wheel also remains in great shape, the textured plastic trims are pristine, and the reassuringly solid Audi switchgear is unmarked. There are a few small marks on the aluminium gear knob but other commonly worn areas such as the driver’s door pull are spotless. Original Audi mats are present in the footwells and beneath the floor of the front luggage compartment the tools and first aid kit can still be found.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Mechanically spot-on, this lovely R8 has just returned from Guildford Audi after a full inspection and £5, 200 shakedown including new front brakes, four new Pirelli tyres, a new radiator fan, battery cover, and alloy wheel refurbishment. The car additionally boasts a tremendous service record with 10 Audi main dealer service stamps plus 1 Audi specialist stamp for an interim service carried out in 2020. The last service and brake fluid change was completed by Canterbury Audi in May 2024 only 550 miles ago. Other recent important maintenance work includes replacement of all four mag ride shocks in 2021, the invoice for this job totalling an eye-watering £6, 151.
HISTORY FILE
We have a sold a number of high quality R8s over the years and we’re pleased to report that this is one of the best driving examples we’ve had the pleasure of retailing. With all the big jobs done including renewal of the mag ride shocks, new tyres, front brakes, and a recent main dealer service, the car wants for nothing and is ready to go. Within the accompanying History File the lucky new owner will receive the original Alcantara document pouch with all handbooks, the original service book with 11 stamps (10 Audi main dealer), a raft of maintenance invoices and MOT certificates, a spare remote key, and the current V5C showing 8 former keepers.
