Triumph GT6 MK3 manual overdrive, first registered May 1974. Finished in the best 1970’s colour Magenta, with Black cloth trim and Sundym tinted glass. Professionally restored example.
List of works carried out………
CHASSIS…. New front cross member, Hinge boxes, Outriggers.
BODY…. New floor pans, new rear wings, all new inner and outer sills, new boot floor, repair panels to the inner rear quarters, heel board and rear cross member, lower A panel repairs. The bonnet and front cross member, both head lamp mounting panels replaced, both steel front lower quarter valances replaced. This is not an exhaustive list of body repairs.
ENGINE…. Stripped and refurbished, unleaded head, crankshaft polished and new shells fitted, new timing chain and tensioner, new water pump, all new seals.
OVERDRIVE/ GEARBOX…. Purchased from Canley classics 4000 miles ago. A new overdrive solenoid has been fitted, new clutch, new slave cylinder and new seals to the master cylinder.
RUNNING GEAR…. All refurbished, front suspension which now includes uprated new front uprights, which are trunnion-less and adjustable. Coil over shock absorbers with new front springs replaced at cost of over £1000. 00. Adjustable rear shock absorbers fitted. All bushes are poly bushed. All universal joints have been replaced within drive shafts and prop shaft. Rear leaf spring has been refurbished.
BRAKE SYSTEM…. Serviced and refurbished. New pistons and seals to the brake calipers, new rear wheel cylinders, new brake pads and shoes, new seals to the master cylinder.
INTERIOR…. Refurbished new vinyl coverings, new carpet set, new head lining.
New tyres on 5. 5 wheels.
Current mileage 65, 000 miles.
The car comes with drivers handbook and a large A4 history file, which includes MOT certificates dating back to 1982. Certainly one of the best out there.
