We are very pleased to offer a stunning and very rare late registered 2001 "Y" registration Rover Mini Cooper Sport. Finished in Solar red with a contrasting Platinum Silver roof, it only has covered a very low sixteen thousand miles in 23 years. This is an excellent quality example that has great provenance and a detailed service history folder. It includes the original handbooks, fully stamped service book, every MOT certificate and a raft of service and maintenance records which covers all of its years. It also has both sets of keys and fobs.
On the road this Cooper Sport is an absolute joy to drive. It still feels like a new Car, it looks new and smells new. The 1275 engine is super smooth and has excellent power delivery across the rev range and the gearbox is taught and precise as it should be. Performance is brisk and this Cooper will easily keep up with modern traffic. Late model Minis are fitted with multi point fuel injection and are known as MPi. They are blissfully easy to use, all you need to do to start enjoying your Mini is simply turn the key and go. They feature taller gearing so long distance cruising is a breeze. They also feature a factory fitted alarm and immobiliser, side impact beams and a drivers airbag. And just as you thought it could not get any better, this Sport has the rare and sought after full length electric sunroof, at the touch of a button the driving experience is completely transformed as you wind it round the twisty roads with the wind in your hair. A smile is guaranteed.
The interior is beautifully presented and still feels as good as new. A clear sign that this Sport has been cherished. It is presented in its original factory spec with distinctive Cooper Sport black and Platinum silver leather seats, a turned aluminium six clock dash with magnolia dials, matching steering wheel and aluminium door furniture. The original CD player is present and correct and the carpets and roof liner are unmarked.
This Cooper has an excellent original shell with the correct vented sills and body coloured floor pans. The boot floor again is totally original, the Pirelli spare wheel is unused and the engine bay is detailed. As you an see from the pictures the paintwork is absolutely gleaming and it belies its 23 year vintage, this is a beautiful example of a Cooper Sport that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a low mileage 2001 example, that puts you in an exclusive club.
