Description

Vintage trucks like this Chevy blends durability with style, creating a lasting appeal!

Known for simplicity and reliability, these models remain collector favorites and one of the best reasons to buy an old truck is because they’re inexpensive.

I guess if you decide to buy an old truck, it will probably come with some nicks and dings, a spot of rust here or there, maybe some replacement parts, and miles. Lots and lots of miles. But instead of looking at this like a bad thing, consider it a positive; somebody else has already done all the wearing in for you.

ABOUT THIS TRUCK

 Factory RHD
Manufactured in Canada, this is an original body built by Holden body works in Petone, New Zealand.
First time on the market since 1968
Fully streamlined, all steel cab on wooden floors
Speedy, economical and efficient vehicle for a variety of uses.
One family owned since 1968. Before that time, it was used as a runabout for a Motel owner to cart concrete gravel and other building materials.
Truck had some restoration sometime in the 70's and used in many rally's. Was parked up in 2017 and had the occasional start up and run after that.
This is a rare, NZ New truck in need of restoration, mainly body and paint. If you wanted it concours, it would have to be stripped down to bare metal and re painted but it can also be used as it is or subjected to a lesser type of restoration. Mechanically it seems sound and certainly starts, runs and driver very well. The interior is OK but again, could do with a tidy up.
Price reflects condition and it certainly has potential to be turned into something very special.
 Highly collectable.

If you’re in the market for a new adventure vehicle, you may be surprised to learn that the best option might be an old truck. It seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes everything old is new again.

Also old trucks are humble and honest and nostalgic.

Trucks are still generally cheaper to acquire than a lot of classic cars—cheaper to restore, easier to modify or upgrade and more durable and utilitarian than most vintage cars to drive, even on a daily basis.

The new-car market’s appetite for trucks is bleeding into the vintage world. Yet maybe the most important (and optimistic) force behind the vintage truck boom is demographic.

For the first time in a long, long time, a shift in the market is being driven by someone other than baby boomers. In fact the leading edge of the vintage truck wave is Gen Xers and even millennials, and it has legs.
