Description
Those familiar with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec-C (meaning ‘Challenge’) will already know that it was built with racing in mind and had uprated and modified parts throughout the car.
Generally, it had a more rally and track bias which was helped with different suspension, dampers and central differential. Body panels were considerably thinner than other models to reduce weight. However, the interior resembled that of a typical STI. This was a very expensive car.
This Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec-C has the optional hardcore ‘Competition Pack’ with the most noticeable cool-looking steelies. It’s stripped down with basic Impreza seats, no ABS, no air conditioning, no electric windows, thinner glass, reduced sound proofing and an aluminium fuel tank, all to reduce weight. It was the cheaper option for rally drivers to purchase and fit their own interiors and racing wheels. Spec-C was built to race, and many remain on the world rally circuit today - that's how good they are.
We have a very rare and unique vehicle which could be one of the few remaining road-going Spec C’s that still sports its original specification from the factory and it’s clear this car has never been raced or rallied and remains in an incredible condition. We have been all over the car and struggle to find faults which is a credit to the UK owner.
This car is not for your typical Impreza buyer, but more for the motorsport, collector and investor customer.
The car comes with a huge book pack and service history from Japan and is available for any inspection.
