Harley-Davidson have been producing motorcycles since 1903 and are one of the most famous motorcycle companies in existence
Founded in Milwaukee and known for big V-Twin engined cruisers and custom models
They manufactured bikes for both World Wars with the WL being synonymous with WW2
It was built as a 750cc side-valve, V-twin and fitted with a 3-speed gearbox
Being reliable, rugged and easy to maintain, made them popular military machines
They were soon in mass production in 1942/ 43 following Peal Harbour and the arrival of the USA into WW2
This example is a pre-military WLA/ WLC civilian model and was built in 1941
Forming part of a large Swiss Collection for many years, it's now presented in running order and is UK-registered
Restored to its current condition some time ago whilst in Switzerland
Fitted with a 4-speed gearbox and (OEM) WLDR competition cylinder heads
Complete with a current V5C, a copy owners manual and dating letter
