The Suzuki SP370, introduced in the late 1970s, was a pioneering dual-sport motorcycle designed for versatility and reliability. Powered by a 371cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, it delivered approximately 27 horsepower, making it capable on both trails and highways. Its robust engine, paired with a 5-speed gearbox, offered smooth power delivery, while a simple kick-start system kept the design lightweight and functional. Built with an emphasis on rugged performance, the SP370 featured a high ground clearance, long-travel suspension, and dual-purpose tires, enabling it to handle challenging off-road terrain with ease. On-road, its lightweight frame and compact design provided excellent manoeuvrability and comfort for everyday riding. Stylistically, the SP370 had a minimalist and utilitarian aesthetic, appealing to adventure seekers. Though short-lived in production, its reputation for reliability and ease of maintenance has made it a sought-after classic among vintage motorcycle enthusiasts.
Offered after more than 30 years of single-family ownership, this SP370 has been dry-stored in a heated garage for the past 20 years as part of a larger collection. With the family now deciding to downsize, this is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-preserved example. The odometer currently shows 11, 530 miles, believed to be from new. .
The machine will need careful recommissioning before returning to the road, offering a chance to own a well-presented SP370. Documentation consists of a run of MOT's from 1987 until 2001 when it was dry stored, V5C, invoices and a service manual.
