Here we offer the opportunity to purchase this stunning ZX750RR. This rare road legal Kawasaki "race" bike is a UK example registered in June 1996 showing 4 previous owners with the bike having covered just 6, 034 miles and fitted with a full Akrapovic race exhaust system (original also available) and a Jet Ski Violet rear spring (original included).
The bike has recently had almost £1, 000 spent on servicing and Carburettor overhaul and also Pirelli Corsa Diablo's fitted. It is supplied with a host of paperwork, receipts and MOT's that verify the mileage, the original sales invoice and a letter from Kawasaki confirming the bikes authenticity as a UK. March 1996 ZX750-N1 example. Also included are the original manual, service book and folder included both original keys.
The ZX7RR Kawasaki released alongside the “standard” R really stretched the homologation rule, producing just 500 with only 50 of these making their way to the UK and just 20 of these being registered for the road.
The “Double R”, as it became known, was essentially a World Superbike spec road-legal version of the ZX-7R. The 748 cc engine was the same 121 bhp unit used by the 7R, however the 7RR came with larger 41mm flatslide carbs. These increased the air-flow to the engine and also gave it a more instant response, needed for racing. The ZX7RR also came with a close ratio gearbox and a heavier crankshaft flywheel that helped get power to the ground. The clutch also came with fibre-based plates, which had a reduced lifespan but absorbed power and heat better.
