1983 Ford Sierra 1. 6L 3 Door. UK supplied car which has had 4 previous owners and covered 102000 Miles. It was last MOTD in 2021 and has been laid up since then. It is fairly solid and original but will need a few minor repairs and recommissioned. We have the V5 and one key but not a lot of history.
Body - 3 Door Sierra shell. Original inner wings, battery tray, floors , sills arches and so on. Dont think its ever been welded and overall is pretty good for a Uk car of its age. It will need a few fairly minor repairs as follows. Driver side wing rail at front where it meets front panel. Both front jacking points have 5p sized holes. Very minor but will need rep[aired. Small holes on OS inner sill at rear, Small hole size of a 50P in passenger side bootwell. Bit of bubbling on lower rear arches. Cosworth front grille fitted but it has broken tabs and mesh missing. Standard front grille is in the boot but will need painted. Paintwork is perfectly useable but is showing its age in places.
Mechanics - Original 1600 Pinto and 4 speed box. Car starts and runs but will need a service before use. Timing belt will need checked / changed. Water pump is a bit noisy so will need replaced. Exhaust will need replaced. Car will need a good check over from front to back as been unused for 3 years
Interior - All standard. Seats are ok but couple of splits on seams and could do with a good clean. Good 3 door headcloth, doorcards, good parcelshelf. Dash has a few cracks on the top.
Wheels - Standard steels with Ford trims.
Pretty solid old thing for a UK car and a great project for someone. We also have a fibreglass whale tail and fibreglass arch and side sills kit available by separate negotiation.
