Description
In 2016 Ford offered the sensational new Ford GT for the first time. 2022 marked the last year of its production. As a final fanfare, a special “Heritage Edition” was launched. The Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition was a homage (could it be otherwise?) to the mystic Le Mans racing car. The legendary GT40 which, in 1966, had achieved the sensational Ford hattrick and covered the first three places in the legendary 24 hours of Le Mans. Only 21 cars of this special series were assembled and, from placing the order until delivery, eager owners had to wait for up to two years. The high-performance coupé is built on a carbon reinforced fibre monocoque, attached to an aluminium frame and covered by exotic and lightweight carbon fibre composite coachwork. Contrary to its predecessor, the Ford GT boasts gullwing doors. Power comes from an eco-boost V6 engine with 3 1/ 2 litre displacement and two turbochargers, which, in the Swiss-version, delivers 630 horsepower. Power reaches the rear wheels through a seven-speed paddle operated twin clutch gearbox from Getrag. Breaking is provided by high performance callipers and carbon ceramic discs from Brembo. Needless to say that the suspension and all the aerodynamics tricks have their roots in pure racing technology. The example offered here has been delivered in Switzerland and was parked in the garage of an enthusiast in September 2022. In 2024 the still new car was sold to the vendor and was first registered on the 14th of May. The GT is equipped with the 215’000 Swiss franc Holman Moody Heritage Package which includes gold paint with heritage graphics carbon package, 20-inch carbon rims, ivory coloured Alcantara with golden shift paddles and other details and has only covered 53 kilometres. A unique opportunity to acquire one of only 21 special edition models built, in new condition and with the latest MOT from May 2024. An absolute must for any hyper sports car collector.
