Open the bonnet and be met again with pure originality, un burred screws, proper clips and fasteners still in place and the factory brown paper ticket still remains attached, warning to check Anti Freeze strength in winter months. Open the boot and as expected, the trend continues. The boot carpet is unmarked, the undercard never been touched, with perfect unburred retaining screws still in place, the jack and large tools all in place and unused, and here goes, the full original small toolkit totally unused, down to the original Lucas sidelight bulb still in its dusty original box. The hand inspection lamp which plugs into the dashboard never been touched with the cables rolled up alongside. The coachwork still boasts the original full length fine lines applied in 1960. Now to the paperwork. The original delivery note and spec sheet, specifying electric windows, lambswool rugs to rear (still in place) and badge bar is present as is handbook, previous MOT certificates, petrol ration book, instructions and guarantee card for original Radiomobile radio (still in place) with many other artifacts down to the RAC telephone box key still in its un opened envelope ! This car simply destroys the myth when less perfect examples are offered with poor shuts gaps, squeaks and rattles etc "They were like that when new" !
