Description
TR6:UK Car/ CP Specification/ Body-Off Restoration
The TR6 was introduced in January 1969 using similar chassis and running gear to the TR5/ TR250 but with a restyled body by Karmann. The “Kamm Tail” square body lines and wider wheels made the new car look aggressive and very purposeful while driving could be an “on the edge” experience. Today the TR6 arguably represents the final incarnation of the classic British sportscar and provides one of the most engaging driving experiences you could wish for.
At Milestones Classics we drive thousands of miles looking for excellent cars that can be used and enjoyed – this TR6 fits that description perfectly.
Our home market, Pimento Red TR6 was registered on 1st August 1973. It is a late ‘CP’ 150bhp fuel injection car. The previous keeper owned her for around 30 years until purchased in 2016 by a father and son living in Sussex looking to enjoy some classic adventures together.
Although the TR6 was in good condition during the first winter they decided to carry out some remedial work to bring the car to their own high standards and this eventually resulted in an expensive body-off restoration.

Available at a fraction of the restoration costs (the owner estimates that the car owes him more than £40k) the TR looks absolutely stunning in Pimento Red, sitting on wire wheels and benefiting from the upgraded interior.
On the road she drives spot-on delivering the TR driving experience with an utterly addictive soundtrack. You cannot help but smile!
Equally at home on the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, car park at the Goodwood Revival or simply a run-out to the pub on a summer evening we recommend early viewing to truly appreciate the charms and driving experience of this classic British sports car.
