Description
This BMW 328 Formel 2 is an exact recreation of the only BMW racing car that was built in 1950 by Helmuth Weber from Jena with Georg Hufnagel, Paul Greifzu and the mechanic Waldemar Förschner on the basis of a BMW 328. After its presentation in March 1950, this car was named the most beautiful racing car in Germany and was soon given the name Der weiße Traum.
The builder of the car was able to use part of the original tubular chassis after the car hit a tree in 1953 and was then a total loss.
The car has been completely rebuilt exactly and is now in a tadelose new condition with us and is completely ready to be used again. There is a lot of documentation available and can be viewed.
It now drives fantastically and has been used as a Formula 2 car in various races, where it always drove at the front.
This recreation is a unique opportunity to acquire a one-off BMW that has been completely restored to new condition by a German over the past five years.
