Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this low mileage Porsche 997 Turbo S, in classic Basalt black with black interior colour combination. This was one of the final top-of-the-range Turbo S models to come off the production line at Zuffenhausen.
When Porsche released their Generation II 997 Turbo S, few could see how they would go about improving the car over the already excellent standard Turbo. The engine received a nominal 1. 0 bar of boost, (against 0. 8 bar on the regular Turbo), along with lightly modified turbocharger vanes and a carbon fibre air manifold to endow the S with a continuous 516 lb/ ft. of torque which was 37 lb/ ft. more than the Turbo. The S also gained Porsche’s excellent seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, with paddle shift behind the steering wheel, and Sport Chrono Plus package for more spirited throttle, damper and stability control settings at the press of a button. Other developments included the latest 911 Turbo’s four-wheel drive hardware and Porsche Torque Vectoring, which varied the drive to each individual rear wheel for more neutral cornering and spectacular traction. Despite its phenomenal performance, it is also an easy car to drive in all conditions. The power output rose to 530 bhp and the 0-62 mph time fell to just 3. 1 seconds. Improvements were made in terms of time from 0-100mph which now took just 7. 1 seconds and top speed rose to 197 mph where permissible.
Supplied new by Porsche Centre Mayfair in September 2012, our Turbo S has benefitted from regular Porsche Centre servicing (6 stamps), the last of which was a major 12-year maintenance service, brake fluid change, belt change, new spark plugs, and a transmission oil change. It is also supplied complete with driver’s book pack, history file and spare remote key. This is an opportunity to acquire the very last and the very best of the Porsche 997 Turbo range.
