Description
- Delivered new to Australia and first registered on the 1st January 1967.
- Rare and desirable RHD example of Alfa’s wonderful 1600 Sprint GT Veloce.
- While there’s little to report on the car’s early life as a standard road car, we do know that it was rebuilt into a historic rally car in 2009 by Kevin Savage Motorsport.
- The goal was to prepare the car for the Monte Carlo Rally Historic in 2012, which it completed very successfully.
- After the rally, the car was sold on to another UK based enthusiast with a plan to convert it into a historic touring car. The car was put on somewhat of a “diet”, and now weighs in at just 950kg!
- In 2016 the current owner bought the car and went on to compete in various shorter rallies throughout the UK and Europe, many times with Kevin Savage himself as co-driver.
- Since arriving with us, we had the car inspected by Classic Collective ahead of sale and have agreed to carry out the following works ready for its new owner:
- Engine Oil Flush, New Filter & New Oil
- Replace Spark Plugs
- Replace Distributor Cap
- Flush Steering Box & Replace Fluid
- Change Gearbox Oil
- Re-torque Head Bolts
- Flush Cooling System & Replace with Coolant
- Brake Fluid Change
- Replace Front Anti Roll Bar Bushes
- Strip, Rebuild & Tune both Carburetors
- Kevin Savage has been in close contact with the car ever since it arrived on UK soil and has been responsible for its upkeep and maintenance throughout. He would be more than happy to speak to any prospective purchasers on the phone should they wish too.
