This classic VW Late Bay Window, finished in stunning L53 Orient Blue and White, was born in 1973 and delivered new to its first owner in Ramsgate, UK. Purchased in 2014 by its current owner, it underwent a full restoration in 2015, including exterior bodywork and a beautifully crafted new interior.
The interior is both stylish and functional, with a modern yet period-appropriate kitchen unit featuring a sink, water pump, and plenty of storage space. A fridge is also included, making it perfect for extended trips. The rock-and-roll bed provides comfortable sleeping arrangements, complemented by a pop-top Westfalia roof bed that offers space for two more. Fresh custom-covered seats and door cards enhance the interior, while LED roof lighting adds a modern touch. A Kenwood stereo with speakers ensures great entertainment on the road, and a new radio is also installed for convenience.
Mechanically, this van is in excellent condition. It features a new Weber twin carb setup, a stainless steel exhaust, and a leisure battery for off-grid functionality. A water tank and pump are included for added convenience. The van has been meticulously maintained to ensure it remains reliable and enjoyable to drive, sitting on 15” ATS alloy wheels.
The exterior is equally practical and stylish. It comes with a spare wheel and cover situated on the front, a locking petrol cap for security, and mains hook-up for campsite stays.
