The original MGB Roadster is one of the most recognisable British sports cars ever manufactured. It brought affordable fun to a whole generation of drivers when launched in 1962 and over the next 18 years over 500, 000 cars were sold.

In 1999 a recently retired engineer was looking for a project to occupy him and decided that he would complete a full, no expense spared, restoration of an MGB where time was not an issue. He allowed a year for the project but in the end it was nearly three times this.

Since the rebuild the MG has covered around 25, 000 miles, never been used in the rain and spent most of her life in a heated garage or outside being polished both on-top and the underneath – the pictures speak for the car.
The large history folder contains invoices (a number from our old friend Bob Horam @ Horam Classic Restorations, East Sussex), MOTs since the rebuild, Heritage certificate, photographs of the car, summary of previous owners etc.
I’ve owned my B Roadster for 37 years and they are a brilliant and utterly capable classic that are easy to own, great fun to drive and are just about unbreakable. I have tried.....
