Here we have a very tidy example of the popular MGB Roadster, which are always great fun and an even better way to get into the pleasures of classic car ownership at a reasonable cost. This example is very clean and sits well on its Rostyle wheels with chrome embellishers.
The soft top is in good condition and there is a tonneau cover in the boot.
There is an overdrive button although this has not been tested. The interior of the car is very tidy and boasts upgraded black leather seats with green piping which matches the exterior very nicely. The aerial is electric.
Driven to our premises over 100 miles, the engine sounds very sweet. The V5 and HPi report is showing the engine capacity as 1950cc (standard trim would be 1796cc) indicating that the engine has had work – although we have no evidence of this. The engine bay is clean – the radiator appears to have been upgraded to a larger type.
The V5 is also showing that the first registration date is the 21/ 11/ 1991 indicating that the MG may have spent its initial years abroad.
Overall, a very pleasant classic which comes with the benefit of a long MOT, notwithstanding it is MOT and tax exempt. The MG represents a great opportunity to get yourself into the world of classic cars or to just have an MGB in your collection.
