Description
This rather lovely Emergency rescue Range Rover was built in mid 1973 as standard Lincoln Green Range Rover and then shipped to Carmichael and Sons Ltd in Worcester to be converted to a 6x4 with extended chassis and then shipped to Switzerland as a chassis cab to be bodied by Hess AG of Bellach, Solothurn.
It is a 1973 built suffix B 358 LHD Export chassis.
It was then supplied to the Swiss Railways and registered in 1974 as an emergency rescue tender.
It was sold off at Auction in 1995 with a very low 53, 000 kilometres on the clock and driven back to the UK!
It has since resided in the famous Dunsfold Museum Collection for 29 years!
Over the years it has been loaned to Land Rover and taken to various shows.
Last used properly in 2018 so will need checking over before use.
It has just had a new clutch and brake master cylinders.
Starts on the key and the engine as you would expect sounds lovely.
Runs and drives and the brakes are all working fine.
The chassis is very solid with surface rust but I cannot see it has had any welding and needs none,
The body is very straight with minimal corrosion in all the usual places, a good waxoyl and it would look great.
Comes with an up to date V5 document ready to go in new owners name.
