Description
We are delighted to offer for sale a stunning 993-era 911 Carrera 4 coupe manual, presented in near immaculate condition throughout, and with a huge history file detailing the entire lifetime of this very special car.
N340HTR was first registered on 30th June 1996 by Rivervale Porsche in Brighton, and was specified with the following factory options: 033 Sports chassis (front -10mm, rear -20mm), 373 & 374 Sports seats in Kevlar and black leather, 408 18″ Technology wheels (lightweight hollow-spoke), 425 rear wiper, 567 top tinted windscreen, 573 automatic air conditioning, 650 sun roof. Finished in Polar Silver L92M and black leather interior, the car has now covered just 58, 715 miles in the hands of 7 owners over the last 28 years.
Fitted with the 3. 6 litre Varioram flat-six producing 285bhp and with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the car is capable of 0-62mph in 5. 3 seconds on the way to a top speed of 171mph. The car comes with a massive history file containing every old MOT certificate from 1999 onwards, all service and maintenance invoices from 2003 to date, and a detailed history summary compiled by a previous owner that runs to 4 pages.
In spectacular and highly original condition throughout, the Polar Silver paintwork is even and virtually free of any blemishes apart from a couple of tiny stone chips. The black interior shows almost no signs of any wear at all, testament to the incredibly high build quality and superb materials used on these models. The black leather sports seats with Kevlar hardbacks are in particularly good order, and are extremely comfortable, with 4-way electric height adjustment. The 18″ hollow-spoke wheels are in great condition, and fitted with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. The only modification from standard is the uprated Bilstein PSS9/ PSS10 adjustable dampers, which were fitted in April 2018 at 54, 087 miles. The underside of the car is very clean, with no signs of corrosion or fluid leaks of any kind. Pictures of the wheelarches and underside are in the photo gallery.
The car drives superbly, with plentiful performance, accurate and feelsome steering, correct weighting to all the controls, strong brakes and a wonderful soundtrack courtesy of the air-cooled flat six in the tail. Everything works as it should, with the notable exception of the air conditioning, which is well known for being poor on these models, and fiendishly difficult and expensive to rectify.
Accompanying the car is a full book pack in its leather wallet, 2 keys and 2 A4 files containing the complete history. This is a spectacular 993 Carrera 4, one of the last air cooled 911s and a real testament to caring ownership and continuous maintenance. Please call Sean for more details or to arrange to come and see the car.
