Vehicle History:

Stanley “Wacky” Arnolt was, like Max Hoffmann in New York, an American businessman who imported European sports cars to the USA. In 1953, he took the risk of developing and producing vehicles bearing his name with the Italian design company Carozzeria Bertone. In addition to the MG Arnolt, also assembled by Bertone, he chose the Bristol 404 as the basis for the roadster. Franco Scaglione, responsible for many exciting Bertone designs, designed this roadster. In total, only 142 examples were built, which had already traveled a long way when new. The chassis production took place in Filton in England, the body assembly in Italy. The vehicles were then shipped to America via Genoa.
This Arnolt Bristol De Luxe was regularly used in races in the USA. Several races at Laguna Seca and Sears Point are documented. In 1993, the vehicle was purchased by a dentist from Munich, who had the car restored by recognized experts, especially for the sensitive Bristol racing engines. The classic white color with blue stripes was typical for the Arnolt Bristol. Movendi sold this car to a collector in Germany in 2009. On his behalf, Movendi sold the car again 10 years later to the current owner.
