This Aston Martin Vantage was completed on 6th July 1994 finished in Snowden White with Fawn hide upholstery and Beige carpets, and left the factory equipped with the six-speed manual transmission. The Vantage was supplied new via main agents Aston Martin Sales of Mayfair on 5th September 1994 to its first owner a member of the famous rock band 'U2'. The Vantage remain in this collection for seven years until November 2001, at which time the odometer reading was 4, 359 miles.
The second custodian owned the car up to April 2004 when it was sold to it's third owner. (It should be noted that a replacement speedometer was fitted by HWM on 26th March 2002 at 6, 201 miles.) The Aston was maintained by Works Service who at the third owners request removed the sunroof and replaced the roof section in March 2005 (see file). Aston Martin Works also fitted traction control and repainted the car in the Buckinghamshire Green livery it has today. The Vantage was used regularly, covering around 10, 000 miles during his ownership from 2004 to 2015. During that period Grange Aston Martin of Exeter and, later, Ashburton Motor Works maintained the car (invoices on file).
The fourth owner acquired the Vantage on 8th December 2015 via Spellbound Cars and kept it until 12th August 2016 when it was sold to the fifth owner. Invoices from that time record cosmetic enhancements to the under-bonnet area and engine bay by Wren Classics, and a full chassis wax.
The Vantage changed hands again in September 2017, passing to its sixth owner, a private collector, who used the car sparingly due to overseas work commitments. In December 2020 the Aston was despatched to marque specialists RS Williams, who undertook a comprehensive re-commissioning and service programme.
The most recent custodian was noted Historic racer and Aston Martin enthusiast Martin Angle, a well-known and respected member of the Aston Martin Owners' Club, who enjoyed great success in AMOC competitions for many years with his DB4 Lightweight. The Vantage was fully serviced by RS Williams when Martin acquired it in the summer of 2024.
Offered today in exceptional condition in every respect, this well documented V550 comes with a substantial folder of supporting service and maintenance invoices, as well as its original owner's handbook and service booklet.
