First produced in 1977 for the 1978 model-year, the XS1100 was Yamaha's first four-cylinder four-stroke bike
Powered by a 1, 101cc, DOHC inline-four producing 95bhp and mounted transversely in a duplex cradle frame with swingarm rear suspension, shaft drive and telescopic forks
The bike was capable of 135mph, more than a match for the Kawasaki Z1 of the same era.
This 1979 example is unrestored and has covered just 74, 446km (46, 258 miles)
In running condition with a recent MOT, it's ideal as a light restoration project
